Trust me buddy mesa's jets ain't shiny. "They got more dings and dents in 'em than a clearance rack at the dollar store." Doin a walkaround on a Mesajet is just a "Chinese fire drill" and a really good way to let some excess gas out.(if you give a crap about the other guy)
You sure you weren't referring to Shipublica? Aka republic and their pandemic E175 SJS syndrome?
Anyways!!! More power to you, avoid this crap if you can? The lack of compensation and the union's unwillingness to do anything about it is borderline unbearable and should be intolerable.

I was just referring to regional aircraft in general. I used to work on Mesa aircraft and I know what you mean, definitely not new.

I've heard more 170 talk this last week flying than all of last month. Feds and training dept all seem to think its a done deal. A few people at UAL have echo'd the same. Just no official announcement. As with anything, ill believe it when I see it, but it seems like it will become reality very soon.

Hey all,
Can anybody provide some insight to expected lines for a new hire FO?
Days off, start finish times etc. Is PHX possible for a new hire and is commuting do-able?
Any info would be appreciated.

new fo cant hold phx, it is the most senior base. Hawaii, is most jr. But guys should be able to bid out pretty quickly as long as hiring continues, or avoid it if toward the top of a new hire class. CLT, IAD, or ORD is realistically where you will end up. They all have similar seniority at the bottom.
Schedules on the mainland for a new FO will be reserve with 11 days off per month. You can bid between 3 to 6 days on, with minimum of 2 days off between. However, being jr, you may not get the days you request and could get stretches of 6 days on randomely with 2,3,4 off between.
Rsv Shifts are 0400 to 1600. Or 1200 to 2400 or 1900 to 0700
They go in seniority of 0400 most jr, 1900 most sr.
Plan to fly everyday you are on, or to sit airport ready reserve which is usually an 8 hour shift.
Reserve will be built onto the end of every trip. So if you are a noon to midnight guy and you finish up a trip at 4pm, you will be put back on rsv until 12 hours beyond your start time of that day. If that makes sense.
You will fly on average 40 to 60 hours a month because rsv is not super efficient. And if you live in base you may get a fair amount of nights at home btween back to back shorter trips or turns.
Commuting in any way shape or form on rsv will be a challenge. Guys do it, but if you need to be home because of kids or something it will be miserable.
When you are able to hold a line, commuting wont be much easier because junior lineholders are getting the same 11 days off a month.
If you move to the base, life wont be too bad, you may even get a day or two where you dont get called, from time to time.
Training dept in my opinion is phenominal, always has been.
Chief pilots ARE on your side and will bend over backward if you dont lie to them.
Ipad jepps buy your own ipad. Imho. Worth it.
I cranked this out on ipad so please forgive lack of capitalization, punctuation and spelling. Just wanted to answer for you.

Do you guys have EFBs approved?
To each their own, and I understand that, but there are a bunch of us not giving in, or helping them out, when we're routinely treated like ****.
