Anybody who denies another pilot a jumpseat is certainly no commuter themselves or they would understand the struggle. Posting their name is useless as they can just hop in their car and drive home.

For a 7/24 class date, can anyone give me an idea when I'll see my first paycheck, how much (little) pay to expect during training (are we paid perdiem?) and how payroll deductions for uniforms are broken down? Thx.
Also wondering if the company is upping the perdiem for people going to Denmark for sim.

They told us today payroll donates to the pilot fund on the 1st and 15th of the month. I think $22.18 is the starting pay, but that's per flight hour. Not sure how that translates to ground training hourly pay... Training days seem to be about 8 hours a day (plus an hour lunch break). If you got paid $22.18 for 8 hours a day during training, you'd pull in around $5,300 a month. That seems way too high...
My guess is this: We're guaranteed 76 flight hours a month, and at $22.18 that comes out to about $1700/month, or $850/pay period.
No idea about per diem during training (I just assume not, I'm cynical that way), or about Denmark (but how cool would it be to go there?).

No per diem during training Phx is considered your base. They pay for half of your uniform.

You're a reserve phx base. You earn 75 hours reserve guarentee at $22.18, and it's prorated if you weren't an employee for the whole month. If your sim is anywhere other than phx, you're payed per diem for the duration at $1.29?.
