Not trying to start rumors however you're posting pure conjecture.

Isn't this forum all opinion and conjecture??? My questions are asked expecting someone's informative opinion. I'd just like to hear from pilots who have been at Mesa longer than me and who might also be more informed. Nothing is definitive until a Press Release and even those are met with skepticism. Thank you for your contributions to this thread.

Here's a start:
Southwest Airlines possible new sponsor for US Airways Center?
PHX relevancy will always be hard to argue and will get harder as US/AA move forward in the merger. However, I don't see any of this happening overnight. You'll never touch phoenix as a 3 year captain, give it up.

Hurry up and wait. I think it should be a hard rule that upgrade/base awards be announced at least a month in advance. A friend of mine put the Standing Bid info into an Excel spreadsheet and figured how it should work out in like 20 minutes. These things could be done near instantaneously...
As for Phoenix and its future relevancy, I agree that it's wedged between two major powerhouse hubs that aren't going anywhere soon, but LAX is maxed out on capacity, so one guy I met theorized Phoenix would continue as essentially an overflow hub. And hey, if planes are pretty full, why not?

They are trying to figure out how many they can award DFW/IAD/PHX (and IAH upgrades for FO's) rather then displace them from CLT. Your E-jet award is being held up by the CRJ award, that they ran in conjunction with, so they don't have to displace as many CLT peps and pay for the move. It was a bait bid. Second time now. They love to run an award with a displacement bid at the same time. Anyone in CLT who had selected a volunteer displacement with any thing put above CLT in their bid will be awarded it rather then volunteer displaced. They will treat it as a award first, then run the displacement second. It's and old trick. I wish it was mandatory that they could only run one award/displacement at a time so pilots could change bids in between. Then I could actually volunteer displace (and put DFW in my case above CLT to be able to Volunteer Displace and leave earlier) without getting awarded it and losing my move money. Hard to explain it to you on this thread...

To anyone who can help...I'm attempting to contact a newly upgrading Mesa Capt who tried contacting me about a week ago. If anyone current Mesa guys can help, I'd really appreciate it. If someone is willing to help, I'll forward my contact info via PM so this person can contact me directly. I'm a United FO based in IAH.
Cheers,
Horhay
