Still not done with IOE and got the award a few days ago for DFW assigned from IAD. Since I live in DFW this is pretty much a good thing.

Because your not done with your 30 scheduled hours, not because you're one of the guys needing more and more IOE right?

you can live there the whole time. Company positive spaces you there at the beginning and back at the end. Not back and forth during every on/off days.
Now for the bad news: there is nothing nearby but other hotels. Major zoning fail. Your only food options are the hotel breakfast and a Whataburger about a mile and a half away. There's also a Denny's on the opposite side of the freeway that the van will allegedly take you to, but nothing other than that. I guess if you were sly you could slip over into the Homewood Suites for their free dinners Mon thru Thurs. The Whataburger is in a gas station/convenience store that has limited grocery items; nothing particularly healthy though.

Though nice, the Marriott charges an arm and a leg at their restaurant. But there is a decent reasonably priced pizza place on the property. I think it's called La Scala. And a deli too.

They said they'll also take you to a nearby upscale mall area with plenty of shops and restaurants. The only trouble is if you're on call, you wouldn't make the 90 minutes.

There's a pretty sweet gym nearby that you can use for free as a Marriott customer.

If Mesa is putting you up at a hotel far away, and you are on RSV, you can't really help the 90min issue right? If you were lucky enough to stay at the Marriott vs any other on TDY, I'd suggest trying not to make any waves though. It's one of the best hotels in the entire system.

I too am curious about 7 more CRJ's. It seems we are near the end of any upward movement on the CRJ vs Ejet if no more aircraft are added. I'd welcome a few more!

I think what he meant to say is that you don't have to immediately answer your phone. You still have to return the call within 15 minutes.
