Mesa could use another shot in the arm right now with Compass advertising 10 month upgrades and Trans States paying new hires $43/hr. They'll either have to find more flying or cough up more money if they want to stay competitive.

Are they actually having recruiting problems or is this just speculation?

I think what he meant to say is that you don't have to immediately answer your phone. You still have to return the call within 15 minutes.

Just mark yourself notified from your phone 14 minutes after the first attempt at contact.
Avoid a situation where over a recorded line they can ask you such questions as "where are you, how long until you can be at gate so and so."
This is my tactic on ready more than anything else.

Sounds like the e brake just got pulled on the ol' quick upgrade express.

Question: once quick upgrades happen at a regional wouldn't it continue like a "trickle down effect" due to people upgrading getting they're pic time then moving on? Or do some "lifers" get in the way of that?
