That's not true. I beat up a new FO for no reason other than coming to Mesa. I told him "you and your friends go elsewhere so we can get a new industry average contract"!!! I'm fighting!

We're working on a new contract. I'm sure FO pay will come up to attract new FO's. Don't have any details yet though. We could just have a sickout, lose all our contracts and jobs. Start over at another regional. That sounds fun. Would that make you guys trolling this forum happy?

Are we honestly arguing that regional pilots are paid too much?

Yes, regional pilots are overpaid. After being downgraded in 2009 and sitting at the top of Mesa's FO pay scale for 4 additional years. I thought $39,000 after 9 years as a 121 professional pilot with a 4 year degree was too much money!!

You are COMPLETELY twisting my words.

I do believe we should have DUTY RIGS for pay/time on duty.

My point was - that you guys keep saying we don't have cancellation pay. And that we do have cancellation pay.

We my legs cancel - I GET PAID FOR IT!!!

Now, as far as this over-block on top of my line guarantee, I don't expect that to be added above my guarantee. Would it be nice? Heck yeah it would. But I don't expect it from this low cost regional airline.

Regionals get the flying by being the lowest cost lift and by keeping a low cost operation.

I think some of you need to go take an Economics101 class.

If you ask me, min day on the next contract would be far more important than a "true cancellation pay" as others argue. Y'all can say what ever you want about Mesa, but the fact is, our next contract will be a better one, not a concessionary one.

We all hope it is. We are rooting for you, but in order to get a better contract you have to face reality. If your pilot group thinks line guarantee is cancelation pay and doesn't understand the difference your union needs to educate the hem on this so that the pilot group can realize the huge difference and demand and vote for that improvement.

I am not hating on Mesa at all. I just had to point out the level of insanity that the guy posted he thought this generation had a sense of entitlement just cause pilots want to keep their over block pay when they get cancelations.

Come on, you have to admit the post was ridiculous.
