^Righhhhht. Because an 8 year upgrade at Skywest is awesome.
To the original poster-if you live in one of the United bases - IAH... Specifically IAD you can see 13-17 day off lines within 6-10 months at the company. As the movement on the FO side is incredible right now- 20-40 FO's upgrading a month. (Only 1000 total pilots)

Getting stuck at any regional for any extended period of time would suck. Newsflash, Skywest is a regional, and it would also suck.

So are you guys really arguing that someone who's main concern is QOL should consider Mesa? Unbelievable.

I think you guys misjudge the reason I post here. I want you to get a better contract. As long as you are convincing the uninformed to come to your airline, that will not happen. All of us deserve to be compensated better for the job we do. Once your airline cannot staff, they will be forced to look at a better compensation model. If we would all stop shooting ourselves in the foot by chasing that coveted TPIC time, the regional industry as a whole would improve. It's really not rocket science.

No I don't commute. I did however point out that Mesa was not the only regional with bases in IAH and PHX, which was immediately shot down by the typical "8 year upgrades" chant. For someone who is interested in QOL, there are better options.
