Fat Gecko Cradle for iPad Air - Marv Golden Pilot Supplies
says right on the web page "This Cradle will only fit the iPad Air, not the iPad Air 2 (released in late 2014)." but thanks for the info. Any other recommendations?

been in indoc a few days. Mesa sounds like a good place to be. Everyone so far has been friendly. Our class has a lot of seasoned experienced pilots both prior 121 and 135. Our indoc instructor will be our systems instructor for the CRJ Class. Very knologable. Class is big. I believe close to 31. Hotel vans are a pain. Between the FA pilots and Mechanics = no seats. Glad i drove. A few of us are staying at the sleep in, most at the Best W. If staying at the sleep inn good luck. its in the middle of no where and the hotel will only go to walmart on sunday. *** Note for future pilot******* I guess the iPad air 2 does not fit in the approved mounts that they want you to buy. They are still trying to figure out a solution to this. Mabe consider buying the iPad air 1 if you don't want this problem. Not sure what we with the air 2 are going to do yet.
When were you called? How long did it take before you were called? Did you have an option between the crj and erj?

I was called in about 5 days. had 2.5 days to get to class but they also gave me the option for the next class. Take first available. One month can equal 50-60 seniority numbers. I had option of CRJ VS Ejet. However I was told that they may ask who wants to go to the jet anytime in training and if no volunteers they can opt you to the Ejet. I chose the CRJ because of the bases and the fact that majority of sim training is done inhouse at PHX. If not Phx a possibility of Berlin or YYV cities. Most Ejet is STL at flight safety. CRJ upgrade is the quicker than Ejet as of right now. Subject to change if more Ejets are added.

Choose your aircraft 100% on basing. Most other reasons are pointless.

Emailed the company that makes the mount, they are working on a universal mount that will fit several different type of iPads. No word on when it will be released yet.

Remember, you can bid either jet for upgrade (as long as your seniority can hold it). Don't pick your initial jet if you're afraid you are "stuck" on it.

BTW, congrats on starting here. Besides being broke, it's a fairly low stress airline to work for

Thats awesome! Congrats on the position. I'm still waiting on my call and i agree ; base close to home is far more important vs airplane you fly imho.
Its been a bit over a week for me but i've also heard for some it can take up to a month to get the call so we'll see.
When did you initially apply?
