Uh if Junior FO's leave don't you think that would mean Junior captains would have to as well? Not sure why you specify FOs. Also, once you are awarded a base you can't get displaced unless the base closes. Read the contract. You may be at the bottom of the reserve list forever though since people would likely bounce to hold lines in DFW. Luckily I think there will be enough movement out of PHX from the top half of the FO list that I'm not too worried. And what is your source...I haven't heard that rumor confirmed by any legitimate source yet. Thought it depended on SKW contract renewal out of PHX.

ELOHEL!!!!!!!!
So you're insinuating that because once you are at a major you're above talking to those at the regionals? I thought regional pilots were all about being treating like equals with the major pilots. Interesting to see the continued hypocrisy by some.
As to what/what I don't know.....I do know that this board is anonymous so you really don't know who you are conversing with. But I'm pretty confident with what I know and where I get my info.
And you'd be wrong, we have about 12,000 qualified applicants. If you have been to a career fair lately (I have), then you would know that the wait to speak to a UAL recruiter can exceed 2 hours. Go ahead and see for yourself in Dallas this weekend for the WAI convention. I will give you this though, those same 12,000 applicants most likely have their apps in with DAL and AAG, so I can't really claim them all as UAL applicants.
Sorry, but an applicant is responsible for disclosing everything in his or her backgrounds. The time at which it happens to be discovered is at the discretion of the company as long as the person doesn't turn a wheel in an actual airplane. In the regional environment, the pickens are slim, and Mesa chooses to roll the dice and get folks in class. They have a business to run....if you did it then you'd better be willing to OWN it!

Second, a good company, airline or not, should not be irresponsible enough to hire someone without appropriate credentials especially knowing it'll ruin someone's career. That's bad faith hiring. I'm not saying the applicant isn't culpable for their resume and background but a company should not blindly hire knowing the implications to their career.

Hmm I'll have to go reread the contract. Still won't believe it til I see it and hope the number of lines stay the same for a while and Phx FOs keep upgrading

Mesa Airlines and ATP Flight School Launch Pilot Tuition Assistance Program | Business Wire It's almost like the Mesa flight school of the past. I think this is the direction most regionals will have to go. We shall see in a year or two.
