I, too, call BS on the 'caught napping" story.
The worst you get for that at Mesa is the old ICBM treatment.........Inter Classroom Ballistic Marker.
And they usually miss with that.

sorry i am late to the party. Treat those how you would like to be treated. Weather he was in the right or in the wrong every one makes mistakes. By no mean do i condone that kind of behavior. I believe that if we pilots want to be treated as professionals we have to be professionals. We also have to help each other. Every one makes mistakes and i am sure that he feels terrible about what happened. Its going to be hard enough to explain this in a future interview weather it was sleeping in class or something more. Hopefully it does not get him blacklisted in the regionals. Only the top 30% ***hole people in aviation deserve that. Point is we all make mistakes. *hit happens. As funny as these comments are how throughly entertaining it can be, I would implore everyone to lay off that guy for his sake and yours. I would hate to be in his shoes and then have to read all the comments on here. Plus it sheds a bad light on the pilot group and especially on the particular person posting . We are all pilots and all have similar goals and ambitions of getting on with the regional and then majors. With that said mabe give the kid some helpful advice as to how to move forward after this. Put your self in your shoes and still trying to make a dream happen.

If he really was fired for sleeping in class, an appropriate response would be, "I feel that I was fired unjustly from Mesa. Nevertheless, I've learned that one simply shouldn't appear to sleep in an airline class, even if it's a break. I'm going to put this behind me and do the best I can to explain to future potential employers what I've learned."
If the harassment allegations are true, then he's clearly in denial about the whole thing. Now, it's also possible that his behavior was actually acceptable by most standards, but one FA complained about him for whatever reason, and the company fired him to avoid the very real possibility of a lawsuit from the FA that could run into the millions of dollars. That, too, is possible.
In which case, the correct response from the OP would be something like, "I feel I was unjustly dismissed from Mesa due to a misunderstanding. I feel I was falsely accused of sexual harassment. That said, I've learned that my behavior must be beyond reproach at all times in a professional situation. In the future I'll be extra careful to avoid even the slightest hint of impropriety. I'm disappointed that I had to learn this lesson in such a manner, but I hope that I will be able to satisfactorily explain this to future potential employers."
Instead he's blaming everyone else but himself for whatever happened to him.

Once apon a time I was at an airline in training and another pilot had ran in to a FA that he know at Colgan. Well they had a lot of catching up to do and everyone knew about it. While on lunch break in the cafeteria she just blatantly comes in and sits down on his lap in front of the whole class, instructors and all. Lol Now she was not a small gal either which made it even more astounding. The room got very quiet and a aquward silence was blowing in from the air vents. Need less to say after that day both he and her disappeared and we never saw them again. LMAO

He seems to largely be in denial.
