Every pilot has 3 things a, set of nuts, an ego, and pride. One can never let any of those get to oversized!

Default mesa interview

I've been reading through this thread and can't seem to find what the current interview entails. I read that Mesa was basically giving out class dates with no interview??? Is this correct? I can hardly believe this would be the case even in desperate times. By the way this is my first post ever and my reading thus far has been entertaining to say the laest!

They have moved to a phone based interview process for efficiency. Sounds like a great company. I just recently got an offer. They will ask you about your experience, simple technical questions which if you meet their mins and you have been flying recently, you ought to be able to answer off the bat.

Just got a chuckle out of the piedmont ad at the bottom of this page. Picture of a mainline jet with "Get their faster from here." under it. the "shortage" must be getting bad if they only advertise their pipeline to american and not anything about themselves lol

Ironic how you choose to pick on Piedmont when their pilots overall earn more than Mesa pilots.

Not sure if you have a class date yet but if you have a choice I would try and get the 175. That would mean a commute to IAH and you would not be going going between AA hubs and thus not fighting a ton of employees traveling non rev. But that also means you couldn't get back to PHX until you upgrade and then holding PHX as a CA is a very long wait. IAD commute is going to be a 2 leg commute most of the time since United only operates one direct flight a day. If I had to choose, I would go for DFW on the CRJ if you can't get the 175.

PHX most likely won't be assigned to a new hire but it can open up a month or 2 later.
