March was a bigger than normal class, so when they're done with IOE things should ease up a bit. There was also a bit of a training bottleneck. It is likely a culmination of these things triggered holdbacks to the CRJ, if true.
Trust me, it's true

The new SAT hotel is way nicer, although I do miss the complimentary Freedom Fitness pass at the old one.

Dumb question: are SAT/AUS done from Dallas or Houston? Or from IAD? I have zero clue what Mesa's route structure is, though I guess I'll know more in a couple weeks.

About 2 blocks down from the Crowne Plaza in KSAT is Olympic Gym. 5 bucks to work out. It's where alot of world class powerlifters and bodybuilders train. It's a great gym, everyone is huge as hell but super friendly.

Contact training scheduling. They usually handle that stuff.

In regard to dropping deadheads in the US/AA system, would you call and drop it or not say anything so you still get credit for it?

In the AA/US system in the past. I use to jumpseat home and not notify crew-trac. The reason being is that I have heard sometimes they will not drop your dead head. Saying they could use you for a JA. Anyway use my advice at your own risk. It's a UFW and maybe a call from the chief if you get caught. In the UA system you have to log into Skynet and cancel your reservation. If not, the company is fined by United, in turn you get fined.
