When do Mesa E175 classes start for new hires
#82
yeah, it seems they are growth for mesa for the time being. They are owned by mainline so they can take them away willy nilly and do what they please (as mother D did to other regionals). I don't think PSA's planes will be all growth though, but that's just opinion.

What is your logic about "not signing up unless it means living in base"..How does that differ between Mesa or any other regional, unless you want to live in a particular base.

Not everyone lives in a regional base to start with.... And I never understood the argument of "all regionals are the same" or "it's just a regional they all suck." There's never going to be a shortage of pilots at mainline and a lot of guys will get stuck at the regionals for one reason or another. Some places are far better than others.

AND... even for the beginner, the idea that one can pick the better regional, can be fallacious. i.e. Comair, or Independence.
So the Skywest of today, can end up stagnating tomorrow. No one wants to be a 10 year regional FO no matter how great the contract is.
