I'm not sure if desperate would be the current term. Sounds like there's lots of guys applying/calling and not hearing anything. Our classes are 100% shows.
I wouldn't go as far as using the word "lazy" as I have a lot of respect for the two guys doing ALL the recruiting and interviews. However that's lots of work for two guys, I see why they don't have every interested candidate positive spaced to PHX for a "dog and pony show" like a lot of the other regionals.
What do you really learn about a guy in a 15 minute interview? Other than they can be a chameleon during the two hour interview and company presentation.

More job offers the better, allows pilots to turn the offers down and when someone asks for an explanation they can say "Compensation...or lack thereof"

Did anyone pay attention to what email address the offer was sent to? Was it an email address you provided to airlineapps or a different one? This just seems so unusual. I received an unsolicited email from Republic several weeks ago. It was not an offer, but an invitation to apply. I wondered how they had my email, then I remembered I applied to Frontier months ago. Had to have dug it from that file. This seems a little more normal than these offers.
