The only possible way is if pilots leave other regionals and come to Mesa.
They're just trolling... Mesa is not in the financial position to purchase any frames of their own, and I doubt United is dumb enough (although that is debatable some days) to put their eggs into one basket and purchase 30 more to hand over. They will be better off spreading the frames around.

From what I hear Mesa has gotten literally hundred of apps recently. I don't want to be accused of spreading kool aid but I think the numbers speak for themselves.

If I were on the bottom 1/3 of an FO list and I lived anywhere near a Mesa base I'd be thinking pretty hard right now.

I was hired at Mesa in 2013, my global seniority number is less than 250 from the most junior captain. The numbers indeed speak for themselves.

I'm trolling?

Our classes are 100% show as of currently. I'm getting dm's from current XJT, RAH and Eagle guys saying they can't get call backs from Recruiters. People are getting class dates for late summer and fall.

I don't doubt we will get to a point when they start struggling to fill classes. It just has not yet shown it's head yet. We have a great training department, good Chiefs and a ton of movement on the horizon. The word is getting out.

We have a better contract than RAH and now also have EJETS. What is that place going to use to lure new hires? They were the only EJET operator for years and used that EJET SJS to get people. (I was there if you haven't read any of my 1000 other posts comparing the two)

I'm a 2013 hire and only about 130 numbers from most junior captain.

I don't know what base you're in, but I fly like 35 hours/ month.. If we're taking 2 airplanes/month and hiring 20+ every month, I don't see the problem.

Pilots leaving one regional for another is all part of the master plan. Guys that fall for it deserve what they get. Face palm

Hey Prior, I received and email from Mesa with a class date. I'm thinking of taking it. With your lightning upgrade, we could fly together! You could teach me all you know about jet flying.... I'm guessing that wouldn't take more than two minutes.

It's unbelievable how stubbornly fickle and foolish we have become. Have we already forgotten the Mesa m.o.? This is the 4 cycle of this barnacle of a airline. They grow fast, can't manage growth, collapse on its face, file for bk, furlough, and raise money to do it again. Wash, Lather, rinse, repeat. They got booted from every contract before. everything they are doing now is set up for the same. How the heck are they gonna staff the growth with their meager pay? look at Great Lakes, rah, and express jet, which except for G.L. still have higher pay than Mesa currently. Which goes to show sjs sadly enough, still is pervasive at exploiting pilots. This is just the beginning, and no new contract J.O. will offer will beat others to attract more pilots in which most have aspirations to go to a major who will scoop up regional guys in droves as they already are. Why you went from one meager regional to another meager one in a time majors are beginning to hire is beyond me. I went from a meager regional did my time and I'm now at a major. I told myself as my former regional wasn't getting better anytime soon, that best I keep building my time here, and wait for the first wave, no way in hell I even for a sec made a lateral move to another regional. Regionals will eventually wither down to a nub from attrition as it should, cause they were the spearheads of bringing this profession down the tubes which was also spearheaded by Mesa.
A lil Mesa history, they got booted from united in the late 90's then in mid 2009. Booted from the pre AMW merger us airways. Booted from delta. All this while filing ch 11 a couple times. How you think they will be impervious to the current shortage. J.O. Will never give into leading contract, never has, never will. He will continue to make millions and bail when he wants if need be.

Yeah, so, I know a very small amount on the total Mesa history, but for one "booted from united in 2009" is just plain wrong. Also Republic hourly is like 50 cents or something higher 1st year, yes, however I still make more here with CNX play. So that's wrong.

I don't doubt we'll have trouble staffing, it just has not yet happened.

Did Mesa have trouble in the past when they got very large? Yes.
Does history sometimes repeat itself? Yes. Hopefully the company has learned from their past mistakes.

You have a lot of strong opinions on THIS WILL HAPPEN, not this might happen, and unless you have a crystal ball, I don't think those are rational assertions to make.

Really bro? I don't get what you bone to pick with me is.

I stay in the Mesa forums and try to give factual current information on the airline. I don't go on other airline's forums spewing my personal opinions or advice on what's happening there. I don't work there, I am not educated enough and that would be a disservice for anyone reading these forums for information.

I'm not sure why you are insinuating I am some sort of "know every about jet flying type." Because actually that's the exact opposite of my personality. Come to think about it, I think it was you who starting spewing all your ratings and aviation accomplishments. I responded with "facepalm" because like I said, I'm the type of guy that doesn't put that kind of stuff on a pedestal, and that means nothing to me. Maybe to a 21 year old Embry Riddle kid, but not me.

And your "lightening fast upgrade" comment. Sounds to me like you are just butthurt hearing about what is happening here. I'm not trying to throw it in anyone's face. If you are bitter because you are a 7 year FO somewhere with no upgrade in sight, I understand your frustration. This industry sucks.
