I believe the Skywest/US Airways contract ends in early 2015, (use to know but can't remember). Now it's nothing against your airline we are brethren, Doug Parker has not been happy with something? (Rumor but from many reliable sources). Why I have no idea, maybe he didn't like the end of the contract agreement (that he signed) and you have been doing well so he cannot drop you. Anyway, six months ago I would have said that Skywest is done in PHX. But with all regionals standing up and not taking **** in contract talks and the merger. I believe your contract will be renewed and Mesa will be awarded flying in LAX. This is all my speculation without any sources lately. LAX has been kind of a big thing lately from pretty much everyone. And I have nothing of more Mesa flying in PHX.

Is there a douchebag that goes around all the forums and talks smack. I'm just relaying information from sources that were involved in contract talks. I took what I was told by several people not all Mesa folks. Thing is you don't know dick, you just bounce around the forums and spew your diarrhea with no logic. Just put down other airline folks for no reason other than to be a smartass. Now if you can pull up any intelligent information that I might be wrong on or that is off please reply. If not I suggest you "WALK".

It's scary that you in any way are involved in the operation of aircraft. Besides your posts being a blob of incompetent drivel, they are mostly factually incorrect. There is a great deal of information out there on the XJT/Continental divorce, that I suggest you do some actual research on.

I did my research. That was the information that was found. Like I said if you have better or more factual information please ring in. But I ask three people if Continental owned the leases on those aircraft. One said that's how they were awarded the contract, the other said yes and the other said he was not sure after Continental sold its shares of XJT. I don't just conjure up this information. Now I just put out what I have learned and to question my flying abilities over information that I researched and from I learned is ridiculous. Now since you know more than I do then feel free to chime in and correct me. Believe me my flying ability is above average and I have never even come close to failing any checkride ever.

Yes I see mistakes in the information, the holding company, number of aircraft. I was busy and just called a few folks to ask about who owned the leases on those aircraft and to verify what I was told on the United aircraft award. Like I said correct me on any mis-information, I will be the first person to admit I'm wrong. But once again I was told that XJT was mainly awarded the United contract due to Continental or a holding company for Continental were responsible on the leases of those aircraft. Once again, different people have different information and I apologize if I did not do my XJT buyout research, but like I said I was busy and just called a few folks that would know more about that awarded contract then most.

I’ve been involved with some contract selections in the non airline world, and I’ve seen “lowest quality bidder” used to award them.

The Space Shuttle was built by the lowest bidder...just some food for thought.

Skywest's 200's were a loss bid to cover the leases until the larger 900's were able to come into service from Delta (not sure) to cover the bid agreement. So Skywest got at least the lease agreement covered on the 200's so no dead leased aircraft were sitting. No reason for Skywest to file bankruptcy because 87 percent of their flying is under contract. Win for Skywest, lease payments are covered but at a loss for crew cost but better than no contract at all. With profits for the future 900 flying. Part deuce.

I don't know who your source is, but pretty sure they're wrong. The 200's are not at a "loss", and I don't think any 900's will be transferred from Delta flying to US...

That's why I had a question mark there, I don't know where you guys are getting the 900's. I will just ask you, Paid where are those 900's that you guys are flying from in PHX? I really don't have time to research all the information, alot was speculation but what I heard as far as the contracts is just that, what I heard from more than one source. This has really become a time consuming pain in the ass, I should have kept my mouth shut.
