Skillett & Clarence: thanks for the info on the commute!

Does Mesa require new hires to sign a training contract and if it does how bad it is? Thanks!

True, but even the union, which usually represents the most skeptical view of things, isn't denying this phenomenon.

I have got my sources, and although not all have been correct. Most are. Don't talk to them on a regular basis but when I run into them they give a little bit of the information they know of. The fuel savings program, Airways and United ask our guy if he could help implement the fuel savings program that he created at Mesa for their other regional feed. It was quiet the story, lowly Mesa guys teaching us how to save money for our mainline contract carrier. Pretty much think that's how it went over.

Good. The Sleep Inn is a fine hotel and there are a couple ok restaurants in hotels across the street. Also not too far from Mill St. in Tempe, which is a fun spot.

Thank you, I see there are 3 sleep ins in PHX. You mind telling me which one would be the place of sleep? I believe I was told it was single occupancy also?

You replies are appreciated!

It's the PHX Sleep Inn just south of the airport. Yes, single occupancy and min guarantee pay during training.

That's pretty nuts. Google is saying that the distance from Hawaii to Arizona is 2,880 miles. The max range on a 200 is around 2300? I suppose that is based on MTOW. What a drive!

I guess different sources, different info... Was told Mesa got the flying because they were the lowest bidder. Also, we have been using our won fuel savings program for a long time, and it wasn't created by anyone at Mesa.
