Skywest has a good contract with good pay rates! And believe me there was a whole base (LAX) if ****ed of pilots! How do you guys not understand that as long as companies like Mesa continue to be able to hire the regional airlines will NEVER get better!!!!! Not too mention mesas crook for a CEO who has exploited his pilots and taken everything from them through multiple bankruptcies! Now everyone wants Mesa to grow and continue with the worst contract and hiring practices in the entire industry!

Think I made my point abundantly clear! This guy comes on here about how excited he is that Mesa is making a come back and growing when he clearly has no clue of the history of the worst airline for the last 10 years. If there was no scope at mainline companies like Mesa would agree to fly 777's for $22 an hour for F/O's and you guys would flock to Mesa for the chance to fly the big shiny wide bodies for minimum wage!

Not trying to defend the guy, I'm trying to set some facts straight for you.
Mesa alone doesn't set the precedence for the entire industry.

JO took nothing from the pilot group when they were in bankruptcy. Mesa has not been through multiple bankruptcies. And tell me how JO is any different from other regional CEOs?..

Don't try to "educate" me about the history of Mesa. If you're a ticked off pilot from Eagle or whoever else because you are losing your base and whatever else, don't fault the pilot group at Mesa since it's not their decision. Consult the CEO of the mainline carrier that makes those decisions.

I believe my post mentioned about setting some facts straight. Make sure you read every sentence.

You didn't make a point about anything except a statement about Mesa that's been said thousands of times over on APC.

Look buddy our management told us straight up that in their estimation pilots will leave their current regionals to fly the new airplanes regardless of contract and pay and that if we didn't agree to concessions they would find someone to operate the aircraft based on that premise! So tell me again that pilots who continue to seek employment at these airlines don't play any role in continuing the race to the bottom?
The reality of the regionals today is that mainline carriers don't want to own a regional airline. If you want to look at the history of regionals, start with Delta and their wholly owned regionals. It's all about economics these days, not about a certain pilot group and their contract and CEO.
