You're missing the point. ALL regionals are ****ty!
I'll tell you why I care enough to counter the nonsense you +1000000000000 to. Because I raised a family, built a life, worked hard and made many friends over a very long period of time at Mesa. It wasn't rosey, but I made it work. They are good guys there, and they have fought hard for the gains they have made. They aren't taking anything from you and you know it. Look in the mirror - you hitched your wagon to the wrong star buddy, and now you're bitter. That's understandable too.
Best of luck to you Jvw700 - like every pilot at our level - we could all use a break.

Ok so I take back the DB... I don't really know you. My apologies! Whether I not I made the wrong choice is yet to be determined.... Should have more news to that end in a few weeks. As regional pilots I'm not sure we'll ever be able to truly stand together.. But you have to admit the OP comes off a little arrogant or maybe just incredibly naive/ignorant.

Actually, I just re-read 450KnotOffice post again, more slowly. I was wrong to respond the way I did. It's not Bunk - he brings up some good points. I'm not impervious to getting wrapped up into the emotion of this stuff either.
At the risk of losing credibility and looking weak - I apologize.

You mean the company the NWA pilots themselves agreed to? It could have never happened but they voted yes to allowing them to be created. They also didn't see it as whipsaw but furlough protection , which a few guys did take up jobs when they were furloughed. The NWA MEC wanted things in house if the outsourcing was going to continue. O and most of the contract provisions were straight out of the NWA contract.
does that not take away flying NWA? Flights that were now operated by compass are flying NWA routes, essentially taking NWA pilots jobs, causing them to furlough down into compass.
Is that not how it worked? Maybe I'm not seeing it, I've been wrong before.

As somebody who has limited knowledge of the birth of the sweet baby regional compass, it seems to me like it was born to whipsaw aganist NWA, Knowingly or not to the NWA pilots

This spring, United (UAL) dropped Cleveland as a hub, citing the airport’s financial underperformance. Yet the airline’s Washington Dulles hub is at least as unprofitable, and the airline should ditch it, a veteran analyst said today.
