New planes usually come with sim/instructor time, so there's that.

DF from the IAD system? The guy absolutely hates the pilot lifestyle, can't blame him, I do too! If he has a job where he is home every night, I am happy for him!

I love all these rumors that purport to be from the training department....as if the majority of the training department (instructors and check airman) have any clue as to what's going on. Instructors and check airmen are probably among the last to find out anything substantial. No doubt some probably start rumors themselves just to see how far they will get, LOL.
No announced reduction in training resources. If the first of the additional 175s have been delayed, it's nothing ominous...stuff happens. As for the attrition rumor...no idea.

I just don't get this company. It cost 20k+ to train a pilot to ioe, and attrition is picking up rapidly. Would it just be more cost effective to just give everybody raises. I been here a short time, and I see the attraction of "going somewhere else, doubling my pay and benifits, better work rules, and only a year or 2 more upgrade wait". Things are changing by the week, and I can see that if Mesa doesn't do something within the next couple of months, it might be too late. I.e. "Great Lakes". A little too little, a little too late.

I'm trying to list for jump seat through myidtravel. I can list for American but not other airlines- how do we list for say, Alaska or Delta or someone else like that?
