New planes usually come with sim/instructor time, so there's that.

Which would potentially allow us to increase class sizes. External instructors, if we're required to use them, would only supplement in-house instructors, not replace them.

DF from the IAD system? The guy absolutely hates the pilot lifestyle, can't blame him, I do too! If he has a job where he is home every night, I am happy for him!

No announced reduction in training resources. If the first of the additional 175s have been delayed, it's nothing ominous...stuff happens. As for the attrition rumor...no idea.
When I was a new hire a guy told us they did that once

I agree. He's a good guy, hopefully this new gig will be good for him.

What about attrition? 30 people gone each of the past two months? Is this true as well?
I just don't get this company. It cost 20k+ to train a pilot to ioe, and attrition is picking up rapidly. Would it just be more cost effective to just give everybody raises. I been here a short time, and I see the attraction of "going somewhere else, doubling my pay and benifits, better work rules, and only a year or 2 more upgrade wait". Things are changing by the week, and I can see that if Mesa doesn't do something within the next couple of months, it might be too late. I.e. "Great Lakes". A little too little, a little too late.
