New Mesa Thread
#4091
I'm at envoy and I never really heard anyone talking about the 175s kicking out Mesa. Mostly, and unfortunately it sounds like more mad-80 flying. Where they'll put them all? Who knows. And fwiw, XJT flying our tail numbers in DFW is by far the most aggravating thing that's happened so far. IMO. At least Mesa is flying their own airplanes.

If we got CLT back, IAD would go junior again and CLT would be like PHX in terms of seniority. CLT had many short legs, the flying out of DFW is actually better than it was in CLT. CLT is just an incredibly convenient base for anyone living on the East coast for conmuting purposes. That is the ONLY good thing about CLT. For a jr CA, losing DFW and opening CLT would mean IAD. NO thank you... Now if you could keep DFW open AND open up CLT, it would make DFW an excellent base for jr CA's.
BTW, I dont think CLT is happening.

The company establishes for each day how many reserves it thinks it needs to cover the flight schedule for the day. If the number of reserves available is below that buffer number, then it shows red on our schedule adjustment software. What it means is lineholders would not be able to drop their trips on the day because there is insufficient reserve coverage. On a day when there are more reserves on duty than the minimum buffer, the day shows green. In theory, this would allow a line holder to drop a trip on that day.

CLT isnt coming back and the 700s aren't going to EWR.
</rumors>
Move along, get back to
your $hitty hotels and crappy pay, nothing to see here. Also, make sure all you worker ants are complying with ontime departures AND the EBR program. (insert most sarcastic eye roll ever)

That was an interesting chapter of the last company call. KW was basically saying "ehhhh you'll figure it out."

That for whatever reason, there are not enough reserves.
Lineholders cannot drop trips. So they lose schedule flexibility.
Reserves cannot swap days around. So they lose schedule flexibility.
It means you are stuck with the schedule you got.
