And no, I do not have it and wouldn't know where to find it. It was never given to us in training.
And how long have you been here and done nothing about getting one? It's a 10 second download off the alpa site. How can you know your rights and what is and isn't legal without having read your contract?

This is my point that we are dealing with. Instead of educating yourself you expect someone else to provide you the information on something that you should already know because you know your contract.

Why are you still at Mesa? Haven't you educated yourself about the opportunities available? This is what we are dealing with, people not leaving, and people showing up, proving JO right

Default SOC power outage

The SOC power failure last night was an embarrassment. How a commercial enterprise data center such as our SOC was running without a fault-tolerant immediate failover power backup is beyond belief. Either management here is cheaper than we ever thought, or someone in IT screwed up big time.

Come to think of it, we probably haven't seen the depths of corporate cheapness .. yet.

Really? Because the Delta, Southwest, United and UPS power failures of late are any better?

Wake up Mesa pilot! Our MEC has only the interest of the senior pilot group to look out for. The younger pilot group is the majority. It's time we start the process of a "no confidence" and either replace our MEC or replace ALPA

Would it be possible to move our ALPA offices to IAH to get rid of the lifers and get some young blood in? It is very clear most of our union leadership is hardcore Mesa-to-the-death and seeking a good check til they ride off into the sunset.

You can replace our union leadership all you want they would still have to deal with the same Mesa management. Can we replace them with someone else that actually wants to provide us with a good contract?

Offices are in phx because that's where corporate is. There's no requirement you live in Phoenix. We've had plenty of chair and vice chairs who don't live in Phoenix. All it takes is people willing to serve. Which people aren't willing to do.
