I find it interesting that the investor discussion is regarding the CRJ700's which have a "hard" date of coming off their CPA, versus the EJets where United as the ability to extend by two years. I wonder what the "other potential transactions that are tied to" the CRJ700 CPA extension.

OK. Thank you and good morning. Just on the follow up to your comments on the United contract, I know there's a little bit of anxiety on getting that secret out from the investor's side. Can you kind of talk about like your confidence there? And maybe if United were to not extend it, at what point you would need to know just to handle the kind of logistics of returning those aircraft?

Yes. I can certainly appreciate the consternation that may be out there regarding the fact that this has taken longer than we anticipated. I think it's fair to say that we are -- remain highly confident that these will be extended. And the only thing at this point in my mind that's delaying things is that we are looking -- we are talking to United about other potential transactions that might be tied to this.
And we're waiting to see how all those pieces could potentially fit together. So in terms of just the CRJ700s, I remain very confident. Again, we're hoping to potentially build on that transaction that may lead to yet other transactions at this point."

NB: Thanks for posting. It is always interesting listening in on these calls.

To say he has confidence means that talks with United are continuing. Now, United has no obligation to tell JO the truth and to continue to talk with him even if they plan to drop Mesa’s CRJ700’s.
Unlike GoJet and Transstates Holdings that is not a public company and can tell their employees lies all they want without legal ramification.

Agreed I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to do a 700-175 swap. That’s obviously what United would want who knows if it’s feasable. He also sounds way more serious about cargo than I expected. I laughed about the ULCCs calling him does Spirit not have scoope I can only imagine it was them that called JO. But he made that sound more of an exploratory thing than an actual option. Could you imagine our 700s in spirit yellow LOL

More interesting is that we still seem to be throwing all our hopes on the UAX side. The only talk of the American side is trying to get longer legs to get more utilization out of fewer pilots and the acknowledgement of the fact that AA is taking flying back into the wholly owned companies without much to say other than we know it's happening and if we can be cheaper maybe they will keep us.

The focus is on United because that is where our vunerabilities lie with both the CRJ and Ejets.

The Ejet training is finally caught up. No wait between FPT and SIMs for some the new hires getting to the crew room.
Kuddos to the instructors and those in Phoenix for making this happen after 18 months of being behind. Just in time to gear up for some new Ejets.
