Classic, CLASSIC Mesa mentality. Hey Count Chocula, since you are playing in fantasy land why don't you also figure in Mesa's health care costs into your (lack of) pay. Never mind your horrible QOL which you will never admit to on this public forum.

Not to mention it's obvious by now that Majors don't touch any Mesa pilot with a ten foot pole...even your own Mesa co-workers are starting to figure this out. Another guy on this thread already alluded to it. Yep, have fun at Allegient! LMAO!!!! Maybe ag386 can give you a rec! Oh my...LMAO!

 

This observation is accurate. And it demonstrates you are too intelligent to be at Mesa. I'm sorry you accidentally landed there...but you don't belong there. Get out. I did...I realized from day one at Mesa I had made a huge mistake. If I wouldn't have to explain the gap in employment I would just erase Mesa completely from my resume. It's like an anchor...scratch that. More like a turd stain.

I attended a job fair recently. After it was all said and done I got a chance to catch up with an old buddy at United who was there doing recruiting. Since I'm no longer at Mesa I asked him to give it to me straight...do Mesa pilots have a hard time getting hired on at majors?

He laughed....literally laughed...and his exact words were "let's just say their interviews are very short, when we interview them at all." I asked about Delta and AA...and he said it's actually worse at those places. Delta is VERY picky as we all know, and their interview is one of the most difficult. AA is pretty picky as well, according to him, but most of their new hires come via the flow..and again this is his exact quote: "they (aa) are not going to waste a street hire slot on someone from Mesa."

Burn. I have to admit that as an ex-Mesa guy I actually felt really bad at that point, and he could tell. He apologized and bought me dinner later...but still. He gave it to me straight, and I"m glad he did. But again, if I could erase Mesa from my resume I would.

 

Everyone has an equal chance to get out. This guy "singling" out Mesa pilots... Absurd. I'm not a cheerleader, trust me, but there are bad apples everywhere. Plenty of stand up guys here who I would put my families on their airplane.

 

Yeah...not buying it. Several of our guys have been hired at United, Delta and Fedex recently.

Yet another crazy bitter ex that likes to run back and check on what he left to make sure he didn't make a mistake...and spend his extra QOL off time trolling the boards instead of spending all that extra money he is making now.

 

This entire industry, from student pilot to check airman at Delta is a giant steaming pile of crap. You are simply one fly looking down at another fly on this steaming pile. It's easy for other pilots to make themselves feel better by talking trash about Mesa pilots, but the reality is we do the same exact job as you do, just as well as you do. So go get your jollies pretending to be better, what ever floats your boat. You're still a fly on this steaming pile.

You do realize you sound like a crazy ex stalker by coming in here and spewing fabrications. i know lots of good people who are now LAMA and yes, they are at Delta, FedEx, UPS, AA, and yes, even United among many other carriers.
You should check on the attrition numbers from captains, and yes, even fos who have moved on to the majors.
We all know Mesa management is comprised of incompetent, out of touch criminal deviants, but to attack the pilots who work there is absurd. I'm wondering how you came to this conclusion, especially being an ex mesa pilot. I'm guessing you felt entitled, moved on and realized you made a mistake perhaps moving from the bottom of the crapshoot and just ended up at another crapshoot on the bottom of a seniority list. Listen, all regional airlines suck. Just some a little less than others.
I do agree that there is a much better opportunity out there to work for a decent ....ok let's just say less worse company with much better pay and QOL, but it ain't a regional. You should try corporate. Or better yet, you can keep complaining about your current regional and make another lateral move to another less *****y regional and ff 10 yrs and realized you are chasing turds. it seems you chose Mesa at first for whatever reason so you should show those people who go there the same respect you'd like to receive. If it is indeed true you have a friend (sarcasm) and he does purposefully blackball Mesa pilots, he doesnt deserve to be in that position and will be weeded out accordingly. Nobody respects a cockblo*k.
