11 or more. I have had 14 or 15 nights off in a month in my own bed. Possibly more if you bid reserve and call me last (only after you consolidate). It is a 2 hour call out and I bid reserve to get a specific weekend off that I needed to avoid the wrath of my wife. It worked out nicely and I spent only 5 nights in a hotel away from home that month. The remaining 26 nights that month, I was tucked in my bed and snuggled with my wife.
I can’t say that FO reserve will always be like this (our flying just went up this month so I don’t know the impact to reserve). However, as an FO, they try to get everyone consolidated and any reserve pilot who isn’t consolidated gets called first.
Right now, the CA’s have it much worse on reserve and get trips all of the time - even with call me last.

Let’s assume min credit. 3 4-Days at a minimum. That would allow you 18 days at home on a 30-day month. You don’t come to Mesa to fly min credit. You come here to build your hours, upgrade, build your hours and move on.

11 is contractual. Where is your buddy that he is home 20+ nights and how senior is he?

Is it possible to get min credit if you want some time off in a given month?

I would like to know that too. 3 four days is more then enough for me at these wages. I dont want to commute for more compensation either. Kind of stuck here. Almost thinking twice about this industry. Not sure I want to live on the road. I did once over a decade ago and it was fun when I was young. But now that does sound good anymore. Problem is my current job pays me great but will be replaced by technology in the next 5 or so years. So I need to reinvent myself or go back to flying. Not sure what to do.

One thing I agree with. Eventually, there will only be FO’s and all the CA’s position will be on the ground. It isn’t beyond reasonable expectations that one of the two pilots in the cockpit will be replaced by someone who knows how to fly the plane remotely.
