Do you work here? Then you are part of the problem you describe. So fix yourself. I learned a long time ago you can’t fix others.
The Stockholm Syndrome is strong with this group.
Do heart, brain, and neurosurgeons have a 'regional' that pays them a small fraction of the wages that their counterparts make? Is there some entity that 'chooses' whether they are ever worthy enough to make true professional wages - long AFTER they pass all the necessary tests to reach that level of their profession? Does this 'regional' also have the ability to keep a large percentage of these surgeons at this level - for obvious cost-saving measures - enabling the execs and shareholders to keep the money that they otherwise would have used to pay this 'regional' bank of professional surgeons?
Of course not. No surgeon in their right mind would jump through all the hoops to reach that level of their profession, only to make supermarket-manager wages.
Would lawyers endure this? Hell no.
On a really bad day, a surgeon can kill ONE person on the operating table. On that same really bad day, a lawyer can make a mistake costing a client a lot of money - or undeserved jail time. But even on the worst of days, the lawyer doesn't kill anyone.
Pilots who - for only one day - fail to bring their 'A' game can kill hundreds. Every day, pilots do things that potentially save lives.
Many lives
Ever run the numbers on the cost of ONE human life - from an insurer's standpoint?
Point - we've allowed them to do this to us. Our skill-set is worth a LOT more, yet many of us spend our entire career at a regional . . . making pennies-on-the-dollar . . . telling anyone who will listen to us that we're "very fairly compensated."
I've heard this a million times, and nothing could be further from the truth. Yes, our retirement money is being systematically stolen from us. We will never get these years back. The other side has done such a great job convincing us that our skills are only worth $85K per year, they have several of you on this forum making their argument FOR them . . . and ridiculing me.
I can hear them laughing at you now.
But by all means, keep repeating the phrase, "I believe I'm fairly compensated." Then get back to me after you retire, and we'll continue this conversation

And all the rest are made by you. You’re a total tool, and THAT is most likely your career obstruction. “The CPP is a total joke” is the mantra of those who aren’t selected. For some people, the CPP is the best $hit that ever happened. I’m gonna go with the latter.

I suspect a date dependent software bug. Side effect of last months GPS epoch roll over perhaps?
We have a work around but it may keep us low out of RVSM airspace and prevent some longer flights. Glad AA buys the fuel but this is bad for the CRJ overall.
