Thanks, Socrates, for the intellectual riddle.

I shall ponder that one for awhile.

Meanwhile, you may resume licking the boots of those who pretend to have a valid reason to keep you in poverty . . . as you vehemently defend them

If you consider that a riddle, I’m not surprised by your childish rants. Once again proving my point , I hear no solutions just whining. You wouldn’t know poverty if it bit you in the ass.

It's astonishing - and truly sad - how low we have devolved as a profession.

I'm here, as a fellow pilot, telling you that you are worth FAR more than you're making - and I'm the one being attacked.

I can hear universal laughter throughout the boardrooms industry-wide. I EXPECT management to try to get away with paying us Walmart-assistant manager wages.

I never, ever, ever, expected the pilot group to just roll over and let them do this

So how much do industry executives pay you to be a pilot-forum troll?

Says the guy with 102 posts all of which are complaints with no solutions. I’m a pilot just like you.

I suspect a date dependent software bug. Side effect of last months GPS epoch roll over perhaps?

We have a work around but it may keep us low out of RVSM airspace and prevent some longer flights. Glad AA buys the fuel but this is bad for the CRJ overall.
heard a YV flight on frequency battling control issues and positioning issues and needing headings to get guided into DFW. Seems like more than a “software glitch”
?

My guess is that is due to the glut of fresh college grads, mostly supported either by student loan, parents or both that haven't had to actually go out and raise a family yet. When you are 23 and single, with no mortgage, food bills, car payments etc, this income seems fantastic. Of course this is a generalization, not all fall into this, however the rest are probably still new to the industry and are seeing it with unstained glasses. Soon enough they too will tarnish to the "management is doing us right" way of thinking.

Give them a couple years and things will change. These young adults come out of college thinking they can change the world and see it in a way that none have seen it before. Most dont and will quickly come to realize that.

I’ve had no issues but you have to propperly initialize the system by not hitting TOGA until aligned an in position with the proper runway set in the FMS. If you don’t things will get wonky. Also out west in the desert there’s fewer VOR/Dme to define position. In DFW as well the FMS has Jen1.Jen as the arrival from the west but it’s called on the charts and by ATC the Glenrose. If you don’t know JEN is Glenrose it can be confusing.

According to the email I was right as to the cause. Rockwell has a “part” (chip) replacement produced in the plant across the boarder by Mexico that as soon as disseminated and installed will fix this mess. Mx told me ELP had the part. I don’t know the install procedure or time or if this is even completely true but it sounds about right.

It’s been proven over and over with 300pct for about 15 percent of pairings that the co has the ability to pay. We are worth more. There’s a process however and the contract is amenable in a year. Let’s see what happens then.

Don’t we always hit TOGA at the end of the runway, when. Given the clear for takeoff?? When are others doing it ?

Why does this issue keep us out of RVSM? We have a working transponder.. alt alerter, autopilot.. ADCs... ?

And why are some doing all this “green needles!” The FMS is working except the instance mentioned above. Seems everyone’s doing it all in green..
I hope this is fixed by the time I’m back from vacation. Lol.
