To the OP, I know multiple guys that fly at majors That have Q3s.
I'm pointing out the double standard. Failing a UPT checkride is akin to a 141 phase failure... that's *** I'm talking about.

I wouldn't list UPT checkride busts on my app. They aren't in your FEF so I'm pretty sure there is a 0% chance of the airline finding out and it's not even a real check ride since the guy giving the evaluation isn't even certified as an examiner.

I was a FAIP and gave a LOT of checkrides. I was not a SEFE and I had zero perspective. It abhors me now to know that guys might not get hired because I busted them for scaring the bejesus out of me on a turning rejoin.

Do what you want, but IMO UPT busts = crap under the noise level.

You had all the perspective you needed. We didn't factor race, gender, nationality, AD vs guard, or the flight commander's dislike of extra paperwork into our checkride scores, why on Earth should the student's possible future interview with a company that isn't turning people away for UPT hooks factor into it?

Hook 'em all!

For the Pilotcredentials.com airlines, they don't really ask about pilot training failures. SWA, specifically, says to list failures but DO NOT list pilot training phase check failures.

On airlineapps.com, they do say to list failures, including pilot training phase checks.

I'm going through the app process right now, so I'm kinda current on this.
