Nor would any of the bombers. Refueling is just part the train ride to get to the real mission. Not even worth talking about unless something crazy happens. Jeff sounds like a *****.

I wonder what magnificent words "jeff" has about the 10's...if you can't refuel off that stable platform (in a fighter no less), you have your own issues. The 10 doesn't even know an airplane is behind it. Jeff obviously has some serious issues! Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like Jeff is a Seymour Johnson guy...Maybe some of his fellow flyers can get their hands on him to just shut up. (I Don't want to call them "peers" or "buddies" as I KNOW he does not represent the views of 99.9% of his community.)

Maybe you could get him to take an interservice transfer (or just an exchange tour since I doubt we would want that attitude for the duration) and he could come on over to USMC Hornets. We'll gladly break him of speaking well of anything French
(or poorly of tanker guys). Thanks Smee.

I'll tell you, in my community we believe in getting the AR excuses in early and often ("been a long time," "haven't AR'ed from right/left seat in X months, "we're heavy," "tanker must be letting copilot fly," etc). Has never occurred to me to b!tch "he's not French."
Thanks Jeff, next time I bounce the guys in back around I can complain that we had to tank off Americans.

Roger...makes my blood boil to read his posts. By the way, "I haven't seen a 135 at night in like 9 months...Is it turbulent out tonight or what??? Hey eng, what's the CG??? I don't think the PDI's are calibrated correctly...I think this jet is bent...I really need to trim this baby..."

I knew the French had short memories--us spearheading the liberation of their country and all, but I never thought such BS would be uttered by one of our pilots. Cudos to all the folks out there trying to set this guy strait.

jeff122670's profile says he flew T-34, T-1, T-39, AT-38, F-15E ... that is, I would think, an uncommon route to a Strike Eagle. Have there been many guys/gals who went the T-1 route and then went to fighters?
Back on topic ... I don't speak French, but I did a quick search on a French-English translation site, and it appears as though "gas passer" would translate as "Essence en Passant" ... how 'bout that?
