I object to the use of the term "gentleman." "Person" would be more appropriate. Gentleman implies honor and integrity. Yet, in the news media how many times have you heard "The gentleman arrested was seen to murder 6 people in cold blood at . . . . "
Come to think of it, the use of the term "gentleman" in US Congress should be banned.

I logged on and read it - what a crock. Glad one of DL's most recent hires nominated him for his ethics.
AFA grad, SWA pilot, F16 dude (maybe F15's soon), rescue diver, paramedic, Eagle pilot, seaplane pilot, Habitat for Humanity, NYFD Ladder 2, new hire coordinator, changes water to wine. His picture even shows he does walkarounds in the daytime with a flashlight - is there anything this man can't do?

His MEC should get rid of him for violating the ALPA Code of Ethics. This dude does not live up to the code, and has brought shame to his MEC, pilot group and the profession. The very Code of Ethics that he was being lauded for should also ang him. ALPA and professional pilots right now are facing an "identity crunch" due to unprofessional acts by some of our peers. This should not stand and he should be made an example of. As soon as this hits mainstream media, it will set the rest of the professional pilots back a year or more. If true, his conduct is unbecoming and his MEC should revoke his membership under the ALPA Code of Ethics.

I have a the scan of the article from the BaseOps site, but I don't want to violate any copyrights or anything by posting it here. Opinions on if that's okay or not?
If you follow the link to the BaseOps thread, the article is still posted there.

I've seen this guy around, also have had a few of my FA's comment on his inappropriate flirtatious demeanor around them. As far as the firefighting gig goes, I think he has some permanent damage (amputation) of a finger or two from a jaws of life incident. That's what I heard he tells people. Generally he's done nothing to [edit; upset me], but I sure hope he's not full of lies about his past, as he would have no place in aviation. If his past has been portrayed correctly then we can all apologize. He just sounds like he's full of [edit; bad information] every time he speaks.
