Osama bin Laden Kill Site Eyeball

Lots of photos of the site and a partial of the helo, it is evident that great efforts were made to conceal the remains of the wreckage as it was moved off site.

I was wondering why they wouldn't use ospreys? Isn't Long Flights requiring speed what it was made for? I am sure they had reasons and were considered and rejected, but it's be interesting to see how the raid was planned and executed besides what has come out thus far.

I guess given that we weren't "invited" to the party, a couple of "fast movers" would not have been appreciated to go in to clean up the wreckage of our presence.

Wonder how long before that tail rotor shows up on e-bay.

Maybe they couldn't land enough of them inside that compound. That is one BIG bird. At a time, I know there were concerns with the ability to fast rope out of the hell hole at least, but I've seen them rappelling out of the back.

V-22s are new to SOF, I don't think the comfort level exists for that aircraft yet, and DV may not have even worked with them yet.

Plus they did had the LO issue to consider, since they were penetrating a friendly country with a capable air defense system.

I don't see any resemblance to a Little Bird, looks like a pretty damn BIG Bird to me. How many SEALs did they insert? Sure is a lot of cables/wires over the crash site!

Why bother covering an H-60 or Little Bird, everyone has seen them before?
