I don't disagree with you. It certainly could happen. I'm just saying that I haven't seen it, yet.

And here us Army folk thought the Blue was the promised land.
Thanks to all for the insight.
It's strangely comforting to see no service has cornered the market on 'stupid'.......

Sure, I guess it could happen. If it does, it would say it's more likely to happen in the Reserve, rather than the Guard. Also, I would imagine that it would have to be a full timer (AGR), as opposed to a part timer. Pulling dudes for 365 days could cause tons of problems with civilian employers. Also, I could see a problem with doing this to Technicians...the union is a powerful thing. Ha, union in the military, that makes me laugh!

No more blues...or "pinups":

Mark Welsh pin ups: US Air Force starts stripping pin-ups from work spaces after sexual assaults soar | Mail Online

So removing calendars of women is going to fix the sexual harassment problem? I had high hopes for Welsh...this doesn't bode well for common sense.

It can't hurt. Honestly, those calendars have no place in a professional military workplace. It's not the "man's" military of the 1940s anymore if anyone hasn't noticed.

Ahhh, of the warrior-monk clan, I see.

I don't think it's just calendars. Baseops.net forum is talking about the ceiling tiles at UPT bases being removed because class patches might depict the female form. They pulled the Maxims out of the men's bathroom years ago in my squadron. The article said it wasn't a witch hunt but it always ends up being one. Remember all the hidden porn in airline cockpits years ago that had to be removed?

And while we're on the equality subject, let's all get on the same standard for passing the PT test and entrance exams into the military. Let's make sure everybody feels like they earned it. If you can't do the 8 pull ups for the entrance PFT....bye bye. Same with the run times. You want women to feel like first class citizens? Make them meet the same standard for the job or lower the standard for the men. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for anyone in the same job. I'm tired of watching people 6'6" tall get booted for waist scores while a woman walks around with an ass that looks like two pigs fighting under a ABU colored blanket. All while he outruns her by 3 minutes in a mile and half. She's stellar and he's a failure by AF standards. Don't even get me started on the money wasted on female flyers that get pregnant and the advantages in career progressing jobs they put them in while pregnant. I.E. Exec, etc.

Rant off.

Nancy Parrish: Investigate Air Force for Openly Violent, Sexist and Hostile Environment to Women

This is where this whole workplace inspection thing is coming from. When they say its not a witch-hunt, they mean they aren't going after the individuals named in the complaint. Trust me, it would be much worse if Swartz was still in charge. Welsh is doing the minimum he can get away with. I'm actually surprised this story isn't getting more attention. We lucked out because Hurricane Sandy and the Petraeus story happened at about the same time.
