AFRC baby with 3 years of prior Sweat-e time, current O-3, current big plane AC, prior EP in real big plane with 4 engines, MBA, in residence PME, 73, 75, & 76 typed, 121 cargo hauler. AFRC management is out to lunch. The term AD B team is spot on with better experience. We need to start saying "NO" to AD requests...i.e.fit test, promotion requirements, advanced degrees, and all of the ridiculous computer training. The airlines will hire and people will leave. If you are fed up...leave. I don't regret coming off the long term orders crack. My family is really number one now and I tell big blue what "I" want to do. A lot of great opportunities out there...be the person who decides your future. Be optimistic pals and get out there and catch that beautiful butterfly.

Why yes, I am a monk and a police officer of the "correctness" persuasion. You will respect my authoritah. I also believe women should only wear dresses and no one should swear (sarcasm added). With intelligent posts like these I now see that Gen Welsh should stand up a CAG to listen to your compelling arguments against his policy--I'm sure he'll reverse it.

Sorry, I don't play those silly military games anymore. You might respect Gen Welsh, but from your first post it seems you don't respect his policies. Are you insinuating Gen Welsh only put out this policy as a knee-jerk reaction to protect his job? You must not respect him very much then as you are putting him in the same boat as other politician-generals. Having served under Gen Welsh, my experience was that he genuinely cared and wanted to make a positive difference for his people and the AF. That's why he put out this policy. You betta check yo self!

Thanks for contributing to the emasculation of the Military. Esprit de corps has been destroyed for an extreme minority with a political chip on their shoulder. I'm sure you'll be at Wright-Patt soon with a bucket of gray paint removing nose art from museum pieces.

I see, Welsh can do the same things as Schwartz, but he's better because he is doing because he "has to"? Does that mean that Schwartz would have wanted to? Additionally, if Welsh is nothing more than a mere intermediary below those telling him what to do, why do we have a CSAF?

It's knee jerk, it's degrading to real morale and espirit de corps, etc; and Welsh owns it.

What isn't being said.....that each of these assaults to include the Lackland affair are LOCAL and local leadership fails to respond appropriately. Local CCs allowed environments to exist that allowed this and THEY were not punished, so now we all pay the price. As usual, failures in leadership and protection of peers by leadership lead to another degradation of our once great AF.

But, that Welsh, he's different, he's one of us??? He really thinks this is political correctness gone overboard, he just can't say it (of course, as the CSAF if he doesn't then we can't)?

For all the Welsh bandwagon followers, why is he different than any other, his speech at the Academy, his Dear Boss letter episode from USAFE? What's he done differently? I see words, but have yet to see action. Chriss, did the other generals not care? The blues thing was a natural, even at the Pentagon, the AF folks were the ONLY ones wearing blues (or equivalent) on every Monday. I guess plus one for giving us something that we should have had all along, but not if the intent in timing was to soften this latest directive.
