Please don't show up unarmed here.

1. Government generates zero income, all wealth they redistribute is confiscated from individuals who earn it.

2. The top 10% of American taxpayers pay about 70% of the income tax burden, the top 50% pay about 97% of the income tax burden.
It is clear that half of us are carrying the load for the other half. Class warfare isn't going to change that.

3. Rich or poor, regardless of your political leaning, Government has spent too much of our money and the current course is unsustainable. We have been forced to support a massive program of deficit spending that we won't be able to continue in the future. How that money has been distributed is about as important as the proverbial deck chairs on the Titanic.
Great Post!
Definitely agree,

A pilot with a mind, so rare in this age. Excellent points and post, you have restored that little lost hope that intelligence may be awake in some. Love Ann Rand's perspective. Not to change the subject but have you read "The Glass Bead Game" by Herman Hesse. Some of those lessons certainly apply to these times when our democracy is dying.

I'm pretty sure I thought Ayn Rand's books were cool when I was in high school. I'm also pretty sure I thought it would be cool to have a utility belt and a decoder ring. Thankfully I grew out of both things.

Some of us grow up and understand that centralized economies don't work no matter which great helmsman happens to be in charge. Some of us realize that an empty suit with corporate sponsorship really won't make things better.

Feel free to quote any credible source to the contrary.

Sure man, sure, you're right. By the way, which DE-centralized economy is out there that is working?

Ayn Rand was a severely damaged person, and people that find revelation in her are people that don't think very deeply. My opinion.

That's fine, and of course you are welcome to point us to the literature supporting centralized economies and their many happy achievements throughout history. We'll be waiting.

Just give us a few references to the successes of the world's centralized economies. We are still waiting.
