Would have been worse if I had accepted the Day 6 plan. My partner wanted to do it because it would have been 4 more hours of FDPP (and another 5 of duty). I said NFW.
But nobody is changing their behavior to chase the money, right?

We just sit hot spare, airline or limo to new planes mid-tour, divert during ferries, recover every fleet, and try our best to execute the retarded plans that come from Bridgeway with alarmingly greater frequency.
Simple fact is, this was sold as an effort to improve QOL on the road. My experience since signing is that QOL has gotten worse. Still hoping that will change.

Reality is nothing has changed except for getiing a bit more money. And the pilot group signed their life away for 8-10 years for crumbs. No significant work rules changes. Yes, you are getting paid more for doing the same job, but the root cause of the discontent has not changed and now any leverage fully gone for 8-10 years in the best job market of our generation.

I'm in the Latitude and loving the new contract. I've finally achieved my lives mission of more money, less work. I really hope the last 2 months is the new standard.
I'm also so glad to be out of the broke ass fleets. My 2 years in the Latitude has been so much better because less airlining.

I'm assuming G5 based on his name. I've been wondering if the large cabin fleets would become less desirable with the new flight pay.

The ONLY motivation to remain in the GLC now (besides familiarity with the airplane) is the pay differential. And that is now largely eliminated because of the disparity there will be in FDPP.

Why is there a disparity in FDPP for the G5? Doesn't it fly a lot of long legs?

If you read the union messages regarding this last contract, they explicitly mention how it fails to address hiring and retention. I hardly think we've sold our leverage down the river. The company will likely be back at the negotiating table to address those issues that are quickly approaching a critical point. It's their problem and we have every opportunity to capitalize on it!
