NetJets vs Flexjet?
I have combed thru both forums for comparisons between NJ/FJ and I cannot find anything current within 2-3 years.
I currently have offers from both and I can’t make up my mind between the two.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a guide to pick between the two?
Thanks.

Didn’t you do any research before applying and then ask questions during the interviews?

I have to ask since you are sure that you are a 135 guy....what airlines did you work with? I find the grass much greener here in the 121 world. For the first time in 16.5 years, I am treated like an adult, and I actually FLY instead of having "pretend work" like rotting at the FBO for the sake of checking off a 12-13 hour duty day in the name of "coverage". Overnights are long enough to get rest, fed and workout....at the fractional I had to pick which one (or two on lucky nights) I would do.
Yeah there's no loyalty points and the healthcare plan isn't quite as good, but in the grand scheme of things it adds a LOT to my retirement even with only 10 yrs left to go, and in general I am enjoying life much more being able to have a choice in my schedule. No expense reports, no company iPhone tracking my location every step of the day, no line at hotel check in, no babysitting fuelers, no squeezing Tootsie Rolls, etc....its just show up, fly, done. I love flying again because I am FLYING instead of getting jerked around pointlessly. But hey, different strokes for different folks. Some people dig that FBO stuff, but to me its all about how much I get to fly while on the clock. The go-go-go pace is something I like because the day is over before I know it. Some hate it. But they have DL, UA and AA for that. Fracs are a good way to cut your teeth in professional aviation but really you are just a rented mule. I hated airlining when I was in the fracs, most do. But what is overlooked or not even thought of is that working 121 is very different from being shuttled around in the back of that 40 year old 737 as a passenger.
Now if airline flying is too routine or boring, fine. I get that. But after 30 years of flight instructing, commuter airlines and fractional adventures, I'm ready to spend the last 10 years of my career bored. Aspen at "sunset" with bad weather, Telluride getting the snot beat out of you, TEB on a sporty day, having the owner poking their head in the cockpit asking about their (self censored) car while you are in the midst of a diversion where your alternate is only 40 miles away, your own union reps telling you the company "owns you" (yes, actual words)....I had enough "fun". Now if you are a die hard FBO and bizjet guy, the unicorn 91 job is what I would be looking for. Tough to find, but better than a frac by miles and miles.
