How many people have left Flex to go to NJA?

So you want to hold NJ to their end of the bargin that the union negotiated for (for stability) BUT the union wants NJ to renegotiate.....In good faith negotiations, once they are agreed to, shouldnt BOTH sides get the same "stability"? I think so....maybe your Union should have seen the pay that was on the horizon....but they didnt. IF the enconomy sucked and NJ wanted to pay less, would the Union be back at the table? Nope! Hypocrites!
Nobody is renaging or trying to renage on the contract. Has work stopped? No. Has the union refused to work under the current contract? No. Does the pilot group want to see improvements in the contract so that we can continue to attract/retain the best available and help the company succeed? We sure do. Can the union conduct protected activities such as informational picketing to enhance visibility of the situation at Netjets? They sure can. Can the company refuse to negotiate for the remainder of the contract term? They sure can. Both sides have to agree to come to the table during mid term bargaining.

However, the fact that we are in mid term bargaining has zero effect on the point that having a contract increases stability over not having one. If you have a counter point as to why not having a contract decreases the risk of degradation of your compensation package, I’m all ears. And let’s be 100% clear, there’s no way Netjets won’t come looking for concessions when the time comes. The contract is what stops them from forcing concessions on us. This is what I mean when I say stability. Let’s also be clear that there is nothing stopping the company from offering an increase to the compensation package at any time. I’m sure the union would glady entertain any proposals from the company whether or not we are actively bargaining.

You clearly have something against unions, and that’s fine. Which is why I am glad you found a company with similiar values. However, continually making an effort to trash this union is doing not helping those that started and contributed to this thread looking to contrast the two companies. I have attempted to provide brief examples of why I find value in having a union negotiated contract. How about you share what Flexjet has done to secure your future.

So the impetus for your company to offer pay raises is based on other companies raising pay?

IF NJ pays more than FLEX, stop being dishonest and saying you are the lowest paid in the industry. Make up your mind, there can only be 1 lowest. Its a Union PR move, that is all.......
i spent exactly one year at NJ and I bought in $143,000 for that year. 3 months on the “training rate” and then switched to the 7/7. Did a few extended days and had 3 after midnights. I was on the 350. So lucked out there.

And for what it’s worth. I interviewed with 3 FJ guys (not sure if they got through) and in my new hire class there was a 15 year FJ dude who left as a DRL CA. You should probably ask yourself why he left there after investing so much time in the company.

I’m glad FJ guys/gals are earning so much! It’s so awesome to see but, the only way FJ pilots will earn more and get better and better terms is if NJASAP succeeds

Hard to say. I'd guess at least 50 and possibly much higher. I would guess zero going the other way.

The 6% is a BONUS its not the 401k contribution similar to your FDP but based on base salary, not if you have flown fatigued (yes, again, as your signs have said). Flex matches 100% of your contribution up to 6% of your base pay.

Nobody can say what will happen and you SURELY cant say NJ is immune to a slowdown. If just happened the last slow down was great for private jets, next one may not be. If your FDP goes away (since you are not flying), you are taking a tremendous cut in pay.

As far as people leaving FLEX for NJ (or the other way around), I cant say why, I would be happy to hear from someone to see why they left. I dont believe it was due to pay. Even on this website "3yr FO pay is a day rate of $458" (on the 72 schedule), 3 yr FO pay at Flex is $544 however at that point you have upgraded to CA and would be at AT LEAST $690 (or possibly $790 if you are in a Mid).
How is that 6% bonus paid out? End of month, quarterly?

Are you gonna accept his challenge to compare W2s? $1000 to charity.

I would imagine zero going the other way for sure. I am legitimately curious about the number of those at Flex who have come over in the last 7 years or so. You would think NJA would actually recruit Flex pilots...

I don’t even work at NJ anymore…
And no thanks I don’t need a d^*k measuring contest with you. I was giving some facts. And I asked the FJ guy why he left. His answer “I was tired of the whipsaw with no protections”

I’m glad FJ works for you but it doesn’t work for others. Just glad to see everyone finally earning a decent wage.

Fly safe

That begs the second question, is how many people have left Flex to NJA, to then leave to an airline.
