The bipolar messages about our new hires keep on coming form the union "strategists".
The left side saying "please don't take it as an insult, we are not saying you're dangerous, we are brothers, we take your money too, we love you new brothers and sisters", while the right side keeps pointing fingers, publicly, at their lack of experience and low-time, telling customers of the brand that "new hire experience has decreased an average of 77% across a five-year period" (same numbers at the 121s - 50% of the uplift done by the majors is done with low-time, lower-time pilots on the flightdeck btw) implying
"danger".
On my 3rd day at work this morning at TEB, met 2 very upset ones, they lost all respect for the union. Feeling used like pawns by the union strategists and angry at the message board narrative, insulted to be portrayed at as unsafe, tools for the bitter old senior ones. However PL tries to smoothen the pill, they are all able to read the MB and have no doubt about the attitude and opinion of the mb nazis. Had to explain to them that the majority of the pilots ignore the mb it and just come to work to do their job, nothing more, nothing less, just the job they've been employed to do.
The best tool the EMT has for dissension and division among the group is definitely the MB.
"Get some
Pull up the ladder when the flood comes
Throw enough rope until the legs have swung
Seven new ways that you can eat your young
Come and get some
Skinnin' the children for a war drum
Puttin' food on the table sellin' bombs and guns
It's quicker and easier to eat your young"

Nah, they don't need to leave for your purpose, they can stay, make their nest and choose what QOL, what life style and what contract they want, they are the future, it's their company soon. It's time they vote. So, yes, keep making them angry and helping the EMT.

Heard from a source that PL was advised not to go the route he was by his own team and some of the lead negotiators. Not to use Section 6 tactics for an IBI. That the original billboard wasn't a mistake. Yet, he did it anyway. PL has been pushing his own agenda and support is fading. There are deep doubts he survives re-election. He dropped the ball and continues to fumble. Seems crazy to me. Why the love affair still?

Who is your "source"- Bobo, Wiltke, or someone else in management? If we want another company approved union leadership, we can all stop listening to leadership suggestions (the majority still doesn't follow their suggestions to get the improved contract anyway) and then we can extend and fly tired and and keep our horrible QOL indefinitely! The majority requested more aggression 6+ months ago and that is what the leadership has provided. Then the most recent survey had the majority request another upping to the aggression. The leadership has given us that too. If the majority believes we went too far (I don't think we have gone far enough), then the next survey will show that and this leadership has proven time and again that they will follow the majority. Honestly, if the majority doesn't step up and then wants things ratcheted back, I would think the current leadership would start thinking beyond stepping down. I'd be thinking about starting over somewhere else if the group cannot cone together. We will not get the improvements that the majority are asking for without breaking some eggs and without the majority getting on board the angry train.
What exactly eggs are you breaking? You’re not flying with new hires. You’re flying with some of the most senior pilots at this company that have a different perspective because they’ve been through this countless times. In reality you don’t have to make very many decisions.
The guys slugging it out in the phenom and latitude have a very different view of this company. They are actually slugging it out.
So as your “I don’t think we’ve gone far enough comment”. It’s talking from a limited knowledge, history and life on the road.
But it does sound good on an anonymous message board spouting hell and brimstone.

why are you so simple minded when it comes to disagreement within the group. I understand conspiracy theories are easy to understand and simple to explain, but the constant narrative that pilots not agreeing with the methods, the end goal and the strategies, is just that, different opinions. the fact that you and your bunch constantly brand different opinions as "company tools" is pretty telling of how limited you are (seeing how Loopy gets so unhinged on the mb is quite scary actually)

Just how much experience do you even have with our negotiations and the history involving them? I’ll save the anticipation it’s limited.

I simply don't believe either you or your source, whichever one that said Luthi is pulling all the strings and that Pedro didn't want to do what the union is now doing. I evidently have different opinions than you about how to get a new contract also. What do you believe will convince the company to pay us what the group is requesting? Playing nice will get us either nothing for many, many years or something resembling the Last, Best POS the company went around the union to offer. Neither option is worth working here for. I am putting my money where my mouth is this year. I will work over 50 days less and make many 10s of thousands less this year than last year. I am doing my job and not the company's jobs until we get a new contract. When the majority follows suit, there will be many a train wreck and the company will have to pay like in 2005, 2015, and 2018. This time they can afford to pay much more than ever before. Now is the time to make that happen if at all possible. Playing nice is not going to do this.
