We have a lingering pit too. The mosh pit of despair known as the union message board.

But you knew that already....

By the way, when the company gets done with the fleet reorganization and cleans out the stuffed up training pipeline, we'll need FEWER pilots, not more. Just saw the AJ show in person. They have gone totally defensive and are planning for a downturn and want to minimize the damage compared to last time. We will float around 420-440 total airframes for much of the next decade.

Maybe heed your own advice? Serious question - how do you think you're perceived by both FNGs and 10 yr FOs in your fleet? My guess is most 10 yr FOs don't like the taste of kool-aid.

I really hope you're right about the future of NetJets, honestly. But you'll gain more credibility if you are able to admit you might be wrong.

I might be wrong. See how easy it is?

The sheer hypocrisy of his statements explain it all. Many on APC have compared the current, factual state of NetJets to the rest of the industry, he then ignores it, makes up a completely off the cuff, futuristic scenario that has no evidence of manifesting its self, then berates them to somehow prove he is all knowing and right. It is fascinating to watch.

From an outsiders view - neither the greatest cheerleaders or the most vocal critics have much credibility - much like partisan politics. There will always be the outliers - but realize they are a minority. The vast majority lie squarely in the middle - - in this case ones who can admit the good, bad, and other of NJA.

I will say that the tone of the NJA threads certainly has changed from when I joined the forum back in 2008'ish.

BUT BUT BUT!
FLYLOW said we are going to be ready for huge growth after we get another sim or 2.
AJ must be mistaken, FlyLow should definitely correct him.

LOL

Once the training float is cleared out a bit, well settle in around 2500. Hire a few, lose a few. Rinse, repeat.

How am I perceived?

Just fine.

There's many opinions out there. I know that the road has been long man. Don't shoot the messenger.

Stick around. Don't stick around. The changes will occur regardless... but nobody will discount the fact that we've all waited for the stagnancy to end.

Absolutely! I've already made that point along with the fact that more efficient jets require less pilots.

However... the NET in NetJets must remain a certain size to be effective. NJA won't shrink below that number and remain effective or relevant.

My money is on continued fleet replacement followed by growth after training can handle it and another follow on order is placed for additional frames.

We are nearing the end of a very dark chapter... and every company goes through them at some point.
