You have to realize that most of the happy, and balanced people ( most : ). ) are not to be found on any of these boards , they are flying the line, enjoying their families and their lives. Netjets for a lot of us is a good job, some of us are happy, some are miserable, some move on to other jobs, and spread joy wherever they go, some move on to other jobs , and spread misery in their wake, some still haunt this thread. It's actually quite amusing, sad, but still amusing. Do not make life decisions based on a message board, go to an FBO , wait 15 minutes, a Netjets crew should amble by, ask them questions, they will answer you. Best of luck , cheers out : )

A few years later, that founder "resigns", and Warren Buffett replaces him with Mid-America Energy chief David Sokol, who almost immediately guts the support staff and furloughs 20% of the pilot force. Later, Sokol is kicked out for an ethics breach (shocker), and who do we get for a CEO? Jordan Hansell, an inexperienced lawyer whom Sokol brought in to help bust our unions, and who knew even less about running our business than Sokol did.
So yeah... we had a rough few years, to put it mildly, and we'll be picking up the pieces for quite a while. We're finally heading in the right direction, but it's going to take a while to stabilize things.

It was falling apart, but I think that trend has reversed. Keep in mind that in 2004, the company was growing like crazy, and was being run by its very hands-on founder.

Thanks for the Sokol background.
Same buddy of mine told me one day, "Hey guess who I just flew, Dave Sokol.....prick." I just thought it was in reference to the scandal (wasn't that Lubrizol?). Now I suppose it was in reference to Sokol being the guy who helped damage the company. That helps me put it in better perspective.
Hope the improvements and repairs they put in place stick.
