Default Netjets latest & greatest:

Apparently I struck a nerve, and each of you has missed the point. We're underpaid for what we do. Bottom line.

Yes, I asked about the AMF job because quality of life is more important than money, to a point. The info I got on the AMF job tells me it's not there in my case so I won't be applying for that job. Novel idea, getting some information before applying for a position.

I purposely did not compare 121 to what we do because scheduled airlines are not salaried positions. They fly more than we do. My personal yearly high was 535 in the X on the 18 day. Lowest at the regionals was about 750 with two vacation slots and related non-flight work.

I don't disagree with much of your post, but I also think you missed my point. Obviously I was not communicating.

Edit: Junglejett got some of the point. I would disagree about work hours though. From show on day one to shutdown on day 7 I'm at work. We've let airlines and etc convince us that time isn't "work".

You haven't struck a nerve with me, I just found it funny that you are a NetJets pilot, or a former NetJets pilot who refused recall and are inquiring to Ameriflight to fly a Beech 99, and you want to talk about being underpaid...

Ought to tell you something about the current state of Netjets, and I'm not talking about labor-management squabbles.

Well, being a former AMF pilot, and a current NetJets pilot, forgive me if I completely disagree.

For the benefit of hose new hires and interviewees interested in where the company is going: Anyone mind shedding their perspective/opinion on where they think this company is heading regarding potential contract/hiring/attrition?

I think the contract talks move to within a few hours of a strike, if not a little past it. There should be plenty of hiring, and some movement will occur until a contract is signed. After that I think it will slow again. There is a large number of young captains who have numbers in the middle to top of the list. Most aren't going anywhere, especially if things change again for the better.

Long enough to know that my off time is off, my benefits are good, and that it is better than AMF in every single category. Look you are more seasoned at NetJets than I, but if you can't find any benefits in a company like NetJets, you should probably find a different career...

Thanks. Recently was hired by a major but interviewed 2 weeks ago with and like many things about NJA, particularly gateway basing for QOL. Waiting on a thumbs up/down on whether I was hired due to training delays (according to recruiters). Just trying to make an informed decision.

I have never said I found no benefits in the company. I will absolutely state that they have been on the decline and show no signs of turning around at the moment.
