If you have any sort of common sense you would go to the major. The fact you're waiting two weeks for them to let you know should speak for itself.

Exactly why I'm asking. Our group interviewed 3/4&5 and we're told we would get an answer two weeks later, but it sounds like that timeline has been sliding. Thanks for the input. Are you long on property and what are your positive and negatives on NJA?

I've been here nearly a decade and looking to leave the first chance I get.

I'd say one of the few positives is the gateway basing system. However, factor in, many times you will leave the house before the sun rises, catch your airline and fly a couple legs day one; then on your last day you will fly a couple legs airline home getting in well into the evening or just before midnight, commuting doesn't look that bad.

Most of the guys/girls you will fly with are good people. There are a few rejects that got hired along the way and if you get stuck with them for 7 days it can be miserable, but you can get that anywhere.

I will also say that in my time here I've never been questioned for a fatigue call, mx issue, or a wx event where I didn't feel comfortable flying. However, there are rumors abound that isn't always the case anymore.

Everything else that used to be good like crew food and hotels have deteriorated in quality. Upgrade, forget about it, I probably wont see one for another 5 years.

Our fairly new management team has made it difficult for all departments to operate the company. The environment is so antagonistic and toxic it can make your head spin. Out of one side of managements mouth they love to tout our abilities as pilots but then they turn around and say we should SUBSIDIZE our passengers travel by taking pay cuts and concessions! ***!?!?

Got it. Hey, I really appreciate the advice. Probably exactly the words I need to hear----just trying to make an informed decision. Thanks and best of luck to you!

I've been back from furlough six months and I can agree with everything but the hotels and crew food. 80% of what I order has been fantastic. Stevie's and Rudy's suck but everything else has been good. There's a few hotels that have changed but it's been Hilton properties at least 75% of the time. The same 12 on the Union message board spew the same crap but it really isn't that bad.

I agree with Macjet. The hotels and food have been good. Not a bad meal yet. Been busy but that's a good thing...right? As far as pushback for MX issues, not an issue from what I have seen. Somethings broke, it gets fixed or deferred. I have had some scheduling issues but they were quickly resolved with two adults talking to each other...weird.

Those that want to leave, should do so without delay. They are same people on the union board that do NOTHING but *****. We could get a million $$ a month for life and some of these people with still complain about the wrong salad dressing. So, if you do not like it here...leave..and do it sooner than later. You are dragging down those of that want to stay and make this place better. My concern is that some will stick around, vote on retro with a bonus but less than adequate wages, and then bail. Pilots are like that.

I like it here but that does not mean we should not see a much better contract. We work harder than most and deserved to be compensated for it. I am more than ready to hold out for the BEST contract we can. Those that have no desire for the same thing, leave.....

May I be bold for a moment?
I have the utmost respect for you guys. I know exactly what you do and how hard you work. I was former CitationAir, so I get it.
In addition, I truly hope you guys get everything you want.

That said, you guys might be a wee bit unrealistic. I mean, you make A LOT of money, plus there is a lot of soft money built into your contract. You have good scheduled, good perks, and the list goes on.
Now I'm reading of taking it to a strike?? I mean, you likely make almost the equivalent of $180k to fly a light jet that holds at most nine people. I know there are exceptions with the heavier stuff, but in general I think you get my point.

You certainly are free to disregard my post, but as one who has gone through the trama of a fractional shutdown I would say you have it damn good, and should be thankful.
