I was told that the average NJA pilot age is in the mid 50s. I don't know if that's true, but if so that means about 1/2 of the seniority list will be gone in 10-15 regardless of resignation (the average pilot loses 1st class medical privileges in their late 60s) or potential mandatory retirement age.
NJA will have it's movement too. It's just now is not the time. There is little doubt the majors will furlough and take concessions again in the future. This is a cyclical industry that is in need of competition.

Koolaid hardly, I left a job I loved to return to NJA because the schedule worked better for my familia and was pleasantly surprised when I found I enjoyed the work even more than I had pre furlough, I came back to a strong Union, diversified flying which suited me, and compensation though still not where it should be was enough to pay the bills and then some, the key word was Enjoyed , if I was as miserable as some of these constant posters I would have left a long time ago, and not looked back. In this career of mine there has been 2 jobs I haven't enjoyed, 1 of those companies has ceased to exist, the other limps on, you won't find me on their boards spewing venom, God bless, to each their own, life is too short to be miserable, this place has its issues, it also has its good points, the haters here also have their issues, I hope they find the happiness they seek. Cheers out. : )

Ah yes, the hippie love fest. Where everyone holds hands, sing and cry together in harmony. That's cute, but worthless.
Touchy feely BS aside, perspective new-hires need to be informed about that realities of situation at NJ as it stands today. That's why we have message boards. You call it venom, most would call it reality. The fact that it's monumental sh!t storm there isn't the result of anyone's attitude...it's the result of a dismal hiring picture for anyone with low enough self worth to actually accept the job. We're just telling it how it is...so people know.
Now you can back to your drum circle. Peace man.

I've done the 121 flying and commuting is horrible. There's pros and conns. Your posts might be worth some consideration if they weren't so one sided.
