Commute vs. poor QOL in-base
Everyone on here recommends avoiding commuting at most any cost. But then again I hear folks on here recommend avoiding certain regionals at most any cost.
What gives? I have no idea what the practical differences might be between something like Mesa (which I hear to avoid) vs. Air Wisconsin or PSA (which I understand are pretty decent).
But just for example, for a pilot who lives in DFW and cannot move, would he/she be better off living in-base at Mesa or commuting to an Air Wisconsin or PSA base? Or is it too subjective a determination?

Pick where you want to live- then pick the best regional (However you define that) for that location if there are options for you to live in base. If not, pick the best regional (once again, however you define that) with the easiest commute (Also subjective) for you.
