Nah, my GS instructor was Paul. He was an ex-TWA 727 FE, and line pilot during the Jetstream days at TSA, just recently brought back for E-145 ground training.

I know I need to lose a few pounds, but sweating them off in the good old Swedish sauna was NOT what I had in mind :)

The new written test is only 40 questions for anyone wondering...

Only 40 questions and due to high failure rates the test questions were changed. Here are some that were smuggled out:
  • What is your name?
  • Are you a pilot?
  • What color are the Saab engines? (Answering anything but Fuschia will result in the termination of the interview process)
  • How do you spell ILS?
  • True or False: A Swedish aircraft is perfectly designed for Caribbean summers.
  • Several questions present runway analysis pages for various airports with different weights. How much torque is required for takeoff? (Answer is always 90%)

That's all I was able to sneak out but if anyone has any other questions they know of feel free to add to the list.

They say all good satire has an element of truth. Looking forward to the weight I will lose this summer in the Swedish Sweatshop thanks to 6- and 7-leg days with 30-minute turns all day long. Good thing the pay is so bad, I couldn't afford to eat even if I had the time!
