That's one of 2 places they wanted to base me, if hired. From what i've read on the government funding, they're taking away a lot of $$$ from the EAS routes, which will really effect Silver out of the Cleveland area outstations, and Montana... On the flip side, they are talking about more flights to/from Orlando with a possible base there... But, that's just a rumor...

1900's going away as well as Montana . Won't be right away but will happen in the future.

I am guessing a lil over a year or longer to take place

I'm no airline manager but if 2 cities I was counting on for 3 million recieved a letter from the feds saying they had 20 days to give a reason NOT to be shut down. I'd at least give them a call. Maybe show up at the meeting?;)

I'd at least want to brainstorm about ways to increase the Pax count (reduce the sched, change the times of the flights, advertize, etc.) In order to show the community I cared. I would send my EAS "guru" out to campaign against the competition.

But most of all, as I said before, I'd atleast show up to the meeting! The Gal that was there just happened to be there. She wasn't sent there, she wasnt invited there... she just showed up. The last VFTT was sleezy the way MB played that off.

If Silver looses there will have to be 20+ pilots ubsorbed into the system somewhere. ...assumming they don't furlough.... Better update that resume!;)

Back to the MT thing for a sec. Just to be clear. The 1900's are owned outright. They are flying in an area where there is ZERO competition. Very low overhead. An area that has room to grow revenue routes into something profitable for the company. Not to mention that it would be great for the area. All it takes is a touch more than doing the minimum. Think Bakken. The place is overflowing with money.

Sadly, Silver is too busy concentrating on expanding an area that is poor. They want to grow in one of the most saturated and highly competitive areas in the country. These areas come with huge overhead too. Oh yeah, they want to do it with an underpowered, outdated, unpaid for(?), pig of an airplane. They can't be bothered with Montana....

They can't be bothered with CLE either!! Have you seen these aircraft?!? They're falling apart and look like they've been through a war.
