Just so everyone knows... no more 2 year contract, and the written test is comprised of private pilot, instrument, part 121, and AIM information such as when does a captain need recurrency, how often does an FO need ground training, right of way rules, departure alternate for 2-engine planes, Jepp plate question, temp at XYZ airport with ISA+5, true vs. pressure alt, RVR requirements, etc... Yes, some of those are tricky because they're worded almost exactly the same for all 3 answers... Just like the FAA test.

Anyone know if this means the current 2 year contract is no longer effective for current pilots?

Let us know. I know people who have left early, the company cried wolf, but no idea if they actually followed through with it. Then again, these people left after less than 6 months....

Generally a contract is a contract. However, your union contract might have a rule in it that states the company cannot create a benefit for a group of employees and not extend that same benefit to the pilot group.

For those reading this and interviewing at Silver... heed these words well. The written test is what is sending the vast majority of applicants home.

silver airways pilot selection

Good morning everyone, any Silver Airways pilot out there willing to answer a quick question? If you head down to Fort Lauderdale and pass all three portions of the interview process, and you are not sent for drug testing etc, are you not going to get a job offer? Thanks to anyone who takes a few minutes to reply.
