Billings, and Cleveland. Talked to HR on the phone last night... Girl I talked to was pretty positive about most (but not all) of those 1900s going away, and a lot of the people in this next class getting displaced to the S340. Guess I'll let ya'll know in a week or so... ;)

Will be interesting to see how that all works out. There's some beech guys in the NE that want to stay in the beech as they don't want to risk washing out through training. Hopefully if there is movement they go by seniority this time into the Saab. The rumored staffing bid I'm sure is around the corner.

Saab training is done by pan am instructors, at least my class was. Easier than the GIA 1900 initial. Much more straightforward than the firehose you have to drink from on the 1900. If you want to move back down south, it's really the only way for junior guys.

These pilots have no business flying an airliner. Really? I'm actually disgusted and appalled by this statement. I hope these pilots never work at my company. I actually hope my company doesn't hire anyone from your company. I can see not wanting to go through training. I can't see not wanting to go through training because you are afraid of getting fired.

Both y'all is trippin'. Not a single one of the Beech captains in the NE is worried about any kind of training event. We're all prior 121 and have all just successfully completed our proficiency/line checks. Now, maybe mexipilot84 was talking specifically about some FOs, but I doubt any of them is worried about washing out either.

Never specified to the captains, certain peeps rather jump to another regional to get their "jet" time fearing the Gulfstream process in the Saab. Which I think if they had problems here bad habits die hard.


The Saab ground is not taught by panam anymore, we actually have our own ground instructor who came from colgan. Awesome instructor who teaches you what you need to know to fly and not engineer the plane like the old ways. If the company is smart they will do their best to keep him, but it might not be a permanent thing according to him. Just hope for some positive movement here for now, otherwise were headed to a stale time of zero movement.
