Are your first yr FOs making $40/hr? or is that a typo on the info page?

Look at the pay chart on APC which has been updated as of May 6 the new rates we have. Disregard the notes in the pay section that is old info for the captains pay.

After looking at the bid package, I noticed 4 slots without names for Saab captains, 2 in ATL and the other 2 elsewhere. I hope this is an indication that SF340 upgrades will be coming. I think a staffing bid will have to be done as MIA hasn't opened, and it's coming up a year since the last one.

I've been contemplating sending the union an email asking them to fight the company on sending us to ATP to get the ATP, I can do it in a Seminole, but I don't want to. Good idea or should I not say anything?

Better to let the union speak for you than to try and cut a deal yourself. We all know how well that worked out :D

Can you not get your ATP in conjunction with a type rating?

Yes that what they were doing with those going through transition, but most FOs still have commercials. Bunch of those FOs are those waiting for their Saab upgrades.

Supposedly the union is looking into stopping the process of using AtP. Definitely not a proactive process.

All new hires who don't have an ATP, will get one with a PIC type on the Beech. You're trained as a captain, and expected to know the plane much like a captain... sorta.

If I understand the contract correctly-- Staffing bids only happen when a base opens/closes, new equipment, furlough, etc...Just because it's been 12 months doesn't mean there has to be another staffing bid. It just means that any remaining MIA awarded pilots, after 12 months, will be given out-of-base benefits (positive space, hotel, per diem) at the base they are currently at (not MIA). Regardless, this wont apply because everyone awarded MIA was pretty much forced to bid out through a pref bid to a vacant base. It was that, or sit TDY reserve until those 12 months were up...In short, if you came from a 1900-only base into the Saab and was awarded MIA (like I was), you were screwed because you pretty much had to give up your place in line...

Sorry they promised you Mia and didn't deliver, sandrich. That sucks.

Tamdar goes live tomorrow. We're not out until the plane moves 10 feet. I really love not getting paid to start engines, do ffod checks and the after start checklist.
