Silver has enough pilots. Its rare that I to see cancel for crew. We still get pilots coming in as well, just not as many or as young. The attrition seems to have slowed somewhat too.

Havnt heard if iad is going to out and backs also, no more key west over nighters ! Glad i left before that happened lol

that's what I've heard too that they want to go Back to GIA days with day trips. Probably the tpa guys will be ok with it

My 2 cents is that Silver has lost direction and goals. It seems like all we do is close down and shut down. I think of the 6 stations we wanted to expand too only one has worked. I just don't know what this management team really wants next? We are never going to have a great on time record with the Saab doing the flying we normally perform. So what is next?

Jay its not the saab, i still fly the saab and other operations dont have on time problems with it, i actually think that silver going to day trips might work, it works for other regionals that focus on a smaller geographic area, ie pen air and ravn in alaska. Think about it, we all have stories of how much money silver waits on unnessisary hotels, then only to see them give you the shaft on an in base wx or mx cancelation, me i still have the $800 dollar recept they paid for a one night hotel bill for me in key west, on a dh flight they didnt even need me on. They are waisting so much money on hotels its probly amazing, so id say wait and see

Very good point Aksle! Money is wasted on unnecessary hotels and taxis all the time!

I want an Aston Martin and Taylor Swift.

So Dulles will be the only base with overnights and all Florida bases will be mostly day trips from what I understand. I heard that there will only be a handful of overnights in Florida from now on. We will see what happens but it seems like none of managements plans have really panned out so far....

This will backfire, 1st, half the flight attendants will leave. 2nd, it will be a pay cut for all, and 3rd, they will lose at least 50% of their commuters. The end is near.
